SOLAR SYSTEM

Introduction
This animated exhibit provides the basic information regarding Solar System. Information concerning the composition and formation of the planets in the solar system has been provided in this exhibit. Planets, asteroids and comets are pulled into orbit around the Sun.The first four planets are called terrestrial planets. They are solid and mostly made of rock and metal. The remaining four planets are called gas giants and they have much more mass than the terrestrial planets. Whereas, asteroids are broken parts of planets, present between Mars and Jupiter. Next to Neptune, there is the Kuiper belt and the scattered disk.
