Biodiversity of Pakistan: Database and Global Networking (BGN) is one of the important project of PMNH funded by Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST). The project is aimed at digitizing the reference collection, automation and networking of PMNH for research and education. It is significantly contributing towards efficient management of collection, retrieval of records, web publishing of information and sharing of biodiversity data. BGN project is part of international programme entitled "Global Biodiversity Information Facility“ (GBIF, http://www.gbif.org).
